Silastic® P-1 RTV Silicone Rubber is an addition-cure (platinum-cure)
mold making rubber that has been formulated for print pad applications and
provides the print pad manufacturer the opportunity to formulate a range of
products with varying softness, surface characteristics and color.
This flexibility is obtained by adding 200® Fluid, 50 cSt from Dow Corning
and/or print paste colorants. Silastic® P-1 can be modified with the
addition of 200 Fluid, 50 cSt., to lower the durometer to 45 Shore 00.
An ideal companion product is Dow Corning® HS IV RTV Silicone Rubber.
This condensation cure (tin-cure) mold making rubber has an initial durometer
of 50 Shore 00 and with the addition of 200 Fluid, 50 cSt., its durometer can
be reduced to 20-25 Shore 00.
