A Pioneering History
Dow Corning Corporation was founded in 1943 in Midland, Michigan, USA, to
develop the potential and advance the horizons of silicon-based materials
science. The Midland Site was literally the birth place of Dow Corning. It is
the largest and most diversified manufacturing facility in the corporation,
providing more than 2,000 products to 5,000 customers in dozens of industries
around the world.
