Specify the right elastomer
For muffler hanger and complete exhaust
system applications, we recommend a high consistency rubber (HCR)
elastomer with a durometer between 40 and 60 Shore A, which can withstand
temperatures as high as 260º C (500º F) and can be easily molded in
compression, transfer, or injection molding machines.
